AWWA Pump Maintenance Webcast Set for Aug. 6

Service providers, contractors, and utility and engineering professionals will learn how to properly maintain pumps during the American Water Works Association's (AWWA) Webcast "Pump Maintenance" at 1 p.m. EDT on Aug. 6.

Pumps are used in many water treatment processes and require consistent monitoring and maintenance. The Webcast will cover the individual components of a pump and its maintenance requirements, the effect of pump operation on pump performance, and methods for monitoring pump conditions. Attendees also will learn to plan effective pump maintenance activities.

Presenters will include:

• James M. Brady, P.E., chief of Load Control for the Philadelphia Water Department.

• Christopher M. Bollig, P.E., project manager with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas.

• Bertin J. Morales, city of Phoenix Remote Services supervisor.
